We have all heard that every year of a pet’s life is the same as 3 years of a human life. The truth is closer to 5 to 7 years of a human life. Because our pets do age at a greater rate than we do, it is very important that our pets have annual wellness exams. As our pets enter their senior years, bi-annual exams are recommended. Regular wellness exams are a very important preventative measure that we can provide for our pets. Animals don’t show signs of early disease and they can’t communicate discomfort to us. A wellness exam gives the veterinarian an opportunity to detect and prevent problems at an early stage. It is also important that our pets have an examination before administering vaccinations to be sure that they are healthy and that the vaccinations can be safely administered. For more information on the importance of wellness examinations, click on the following link: www.healthypet.com
