What is an emergency?

If there is a problem with your pet - and you believe that it is an emergency - do not hesitate to call our staff at 215-855-5853. We understand your concern when your pet is distressed, and we are trained to help. Please click here for our hours.

Pets are not like humans, they can't tell you "where it hurts" or describe "what's wrong". There are, however, certain behaviors that may signify that something is seriously wrong. Is your pet acting normally? Is he alert and responsive? Is he eating and drinking normally? Is he able to urine and make a bowel movement? If your pet is having a problem with any of these behaviors, there may be something wrong. Please give us a call and our caring staff will do their best to work you into the schedule right away.

If your emergency occurs when North Penn Animal Hospital is closed (click here for hours), we advise you to contact one of the pet emergency locations closest to you.
