Medical Director
Dr. Erika Perin received her B.A. in Biology and Government from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa. She then attended the University of Pennsylvania where she earned her V.M.D.
Dr. Perin began her career at Valley Vet Hospital in Phoenixville, prior to joining North Penn Animal Hospital in 2008 as an Associate Veterinarian. She was instrumental in implementing paper-lite medical records and adopting efficient practices. In 2015 she left NPAH to gain clinical experience at Elanco Animal Health as a Regional Consulting Veterinarian. She then moved to England to help support her husbands career, and took advantage of the opportunity to explore Europe for 2 years with her family.
Dr. Perin returned to Montgomery County in 2018, where she rejoined NPAH as the Medical Director. In this role she has continued to amplify the quality of medicine, with specific emphasis on pain management and anesthetic protocols.
Dr. Perin resides in Ambler with her husband, Justin, and their daughters, Stella and Josie. When not watching her daughters’ soccer games or horseback riding, she enjoys reading about the newest medical protocols, running, and traveling to warm destinations. She shares her home with their cat Hazel, and three small dogs: Mavis, Charlie and Cooper (whose British accent gives away that he was adopted from England!)
